3/17/2010  Universal Truckload Announces Contractor, Driver of the Year Awards

Universal Truckload Services has announced the winners of its 2009 Contractor and Driver of the Year awards, including Universal Am-Can Ltd., The Mason and Dixon Lines, Mason Dixon Intermodal Inc., Louisiana Transportation Inc. and Great American Lines.

The selection criteria for these annual awards include customer service, no preventable accidents, no service failures in the last 12 months, no Department of Transportation out of service in the last 12 months, attitude, professionalism and a commitment to safety and service.

The winners include:

* Contractor of the Year:
Universal Am-Can Ltd., Ray Poorbaugh

*Contractor of the Year:
The Mason and Dixon Lines, Bill Foster

* Contractor of the Year:
Mason Dixon Intermodal Inc., Steve Preston

* Contractor of the Year:
Louisiana Transportation Inc., George Moscovis

* Contractor of the Year:
Great American Lines, Steve Newlin

* Driver of the Year:
Great American Lines, Scott Conley
