Through an agreement with Navistar, OEConnection, an online parts and service exchange, will implement its supply chain solutions at International truck dealerships in the U.S. and Canada. Navistar is the first non-automotive manufacturer to select OEConnection's solutions.
OEConnection and Navistar celebrated the new deal last Friday at OEConnection's corporate offices in Richfield, Ohio.
"The outstanding teamwork demonstrated by both organizations has allowed us to accomplish all of our product launch goals, and we anticipate continued collaboration for many years to come," said Charles Rotuno, president and CEO of OEConnection. "OEConnection is committed to helping International dealers maximize the value of our solutions to get the right parts, to the right place, at the right time."
Navistar used OEConnection's online parts marketing and sourcing solutions, as well as their idle reduction technology, to create a parts supply network for International dealerships. This new network will help International dealers locate and sell parts quickly and easily.
"OEConnection tools will help us reduce vehicle downtime, increase inventory turns, sell more of our old, idle parts, and allow us to keep fewer parts in our inventory," said Patrick Pesta, parts director from MVI Group, which represents several International dealers in Ohio. "I am very excited to be a part of this celebration, and for OEConnection and Navistar to have formed this relationship."
