The Associated Press reported that Schneider National driver Perry Lee Whited, 52, was booked into the Collier County jail Tuesday after Florida State Troopers claimed he led them on a 10 mph low-speed chase. Troopers say they tried to pull Whited over after seeing Whited driving his tractor trailer very slowly on I-75 between Bonita Springs and North Naples Monday morning.
Police reported tried to talk him into stopping but he refused, backing up traffic behind him. According to a police report, Whited maintained he did nothing wrong and didn't stop for eight miles. He was arrested after he stopped.
The AP reported Schneider National said Whited has a good driving record with no traffic violations.
