Volvo Trucks North America Tuesday revealed its new Volvo VNL series highway tractor, available in several configurations, including an all-new, 70-inch sleeper. And for the first time, Volvo’s top-of-the-line Globetrotter trim levels will be available in North America. Jack Roberts was there for the unveiling and has this report.

Volvo Trucks North America Wednesday launched a new regional truck, the VNR, to address what it believes is tremendous growth potential in regional and short-haul markets. Volvo says this truck will meet the needs of beverage haulers, grocery distributors, fuel haulers and many others engaged in local, regional and short-haul service.

Volvo Demos Active Driver Assist, Available on VN Series

Car ahead slowed and stopped, but Volvo&#39;s ADA, aka Bendix Wingman Fusion Advanced, avoided a collision without driver input except steering.

Called Wingman Fusion by Bendix, the system uses radar and a forward-facing camera to detect and identify obstacles ahead, then warn the driver and soon apply the brakes.
