New Enrollment Requirements for TWIC Applicants

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration announced some changes to the Transportation Worker Identification Credential card program, used by truckers and other transportation workers to access the nation’s maritime ports.

Some TSA TWIC Services to be Temporarily Offline

The Transportation Security Administration says it is upgrading its technology to improve reliability, expand capabilities, meaning some specific TWIC card services will be temporarily unavailable.

GAO Slams Homeland Security Department Over TWIC Card Readers

A new Government Accountability Office report to Congress has some far from kind words about the Transportation Security Administration and biometric readers used in the Transportation Worker Identification Credential program, overseen by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and coordinated along with the U.S. Coast Guard.
