TMC App to Help Diagnostic Adapter Vendors Comply with New Standard

The Technology and Maintenance Council has announced that it will develop an RP1210 test/verification app that will allow vehicle diagnostic adapter vendors to qualify that their VDAs are compliant with the standard.

Rush Truck Centers Tech Rodeo Rocks San Antonio

Each year for the past decade Rush Truck Centers has sent its best technicians to compete hear to head in the Tech Skills Rodeo. This year 300 techs from across the network tested for a chance to make the trip to the finals in San Antonio. More than 160 techs and parts specialists made the trip.

Rush Gives Out Awards for Tech Skills Rodeo

Rush Enterprises named technician Erick Lincoln of Albuquerque, New Mexico, its all-around champion for the company’s ninth Tech Skill Rodeo. The competition took place Dec. 15-16 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Mack Trucks Launches Dealer Technician Competition

The inaugural Mack Masters Competition will challenge teams of service and parts personnel throughout Mack Trucks’ North American dealer network to demonstrate their superior knowledge, skills and teamwork: Photo via Mack Trucks.

Mack Trucks recently launched a new skill contest open to technicians in its dealer network called the Mack Masters Competition. There will be 991 participants making up 263 teams in a competition of hands-on skill and knowledge of Mack systems and procedures.

133 SuperTech Competitors Ready for Testing, Organizers Say

Geroge Arrants, a long-time leader in the SuperTech program (left), and Michael Meredith, this year’s Professional Development chairman, say that a crew of supervisors and judges from fleets, suppliers and technical schools are ready to test 131 technicians beginning Monday.

Organizers of TMC's SuperTech competition in Orlando, Fla., say they are ready to test 133 top technicians from across the United States beginning Monday. High scorers will emerge after two days of pitting their skills against pre-arranged flaws in 25 different areas of truck diagnostics and repairs, with the winners announced at a lunch on Wednesday.
