Specialized Carriers Seek Exemption from 30-Minute Break Requirement

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association petitioned the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration for relief from the provision, which says drivers must take a half-hour break in an 8-hour shift.

New Fee Structure for Pennsylvania Permits Starting July 1

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will implement a new fee structure will be enacted July 1 for all types of permits, ranging from single trip/overdimensional, overweight, to annuals and seasonal permits, according to the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association.
