Historic Snow Storm Pummels East Coast

More than 2 feet of snow fell along the East Coast and middle Atlantic regions over the weekend, leading transportation agencies to work around the clock to clear snow and ice, while closing highways and streets in Washington, D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia.

New York Activates Plow Fleet for Lake Effect Snowstorms

New York has begun shifting resources, including its fleet of plow trucks, to the central and western regions of the state in the face of "lake effect" snowstorms that are expected to hit hard.

Western designed a one-of-a-kind Wide-Out plow commemorating the five branches of the U.S. military and their veterans. PPG Industrial Coatings donated the paint for this project, and ICAFe Inc. donated the custom paint job.

Connecticut Requires Snow and Ice Removal on All Vehicles

In Connecticut a new law that went into affect on Dec. 31 requiring commercial motor vehicles remove snow and ice from hoods, trunks and roofs or their operators will face fines ranging from $75 to $1,250.
