Transportation Accidents Most Common Work Fatality

Work deaths climbed 7% in 2016, and transportation incidents accounted for 40% of those fatalities, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Highway Deaths Responsible for Rise in Transportation Fatalities

The National Transportation Safety Board has released data showing that 2,030 more people died in transportation accidents in 2016 than in 2015, with highway deaths accounting for 95% of all transportation fatalities.

Most Dangerous, Safest Highways Ranked

The 545-mile U.S. Highway 1 that runs from southern Georgia to Key West, Fla., has been deemed the most dangerous highway in the U.S. because it has the highest fatal crash rate, according to Geotab.

Trucker Declared Imminent Hazard for Alcohol-Related Crash

Report: U.S. Pedestrian Fatalities Remain High

A report from the Governors Highway Safety Association finds that 2,125 pedestrians were killed in the first half of 2014 – essentially unchanged when compared with the 2,141 pedestrian fatalities during the same period in 2013.
