Major Florida Interstate Project to Begin in 2015

Work is set to begin in early 2015 on the Florida Department of Transportation’s Interstate 4 Ultimate construction project. The project will revamp a 21 mile section of Interstate 4 in Central Florida from Orange County to Seminole County.

Portion of I-49 Completed in Arkansas, Louisiana

The final segment of a new Interstate has been completed connecting the cities of Texarkana, Ark., and Shreveport, La. The 10 mile segment of road will be designated as Interstate 49 replacing what was Highway 549 in Arkansas.

The Nevada Department of Transportation has fast-tracked repairs to Interstate-15, south of Mesquite, which was affected by a September 26 flash flood, washing away the roadway and temporarily closing the interstate.

Virginia I-95 South Bridge Closed For Construction

All I-95 southbound traffic will be directed to Exit 148, MCBQ, Russell Road east to U.S. Route 1 south to Garrisonville Road (Route 610) and back to I-95 south.

Weather permitting, this Friday night, Oct. 18 and Saturday night, Oct. 19 starting at 9:30 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation will begin to close lanes on I-95 south just before Marine Corps Base Quantico Russell Road to Garrisonville Road progressing to a full closure of I-95 south from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Oklahoma Gives OK for Billions in Road Projects

They can rebuild it. They have the technology. They have $6 billion in roadwork ahead. The Oklahoma Transportation Commission has voted to approve an eight-year plan that calls for building more than 2,000 individual road projects by 2021.
