CNG, LPG Vehicle Market to Grow 10% a Year by 2022

The global compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market is expected to grow by more than 10% a year over the next six years due to the increase in population and urbanization, a growing demand for passenger and commercial vehicles, and stringent emission control regulations, according to a new forecast.

Alkane Truck Adds Gasoline Option

Alkane Truck Company will still pursue alternative fuels as its primary source of fuel, but has decided to add the gasoline option to both its line of Class 7 trucks as well as its off-road vehicle, the Dominator.

Alliance Autogas began its coast-to-coast tour in Kansas, with the propane-converted pickup making it up to Washington in just a few short days before it continues on to California. The ride is to support the message to fleets that "it’s really not that hard to convert."

EPA Approves Blossman's LPG-Powered Truck Engines

First Gaseous-Prep 2016 F-150 Rolls Off Assembly Line

This 2016 F-150 is powered by a 5.0L Ti-VCT V-8 engine that can be paired with a factory-installed, gaseous-fuel prep package that includes hardened valves, valve seats, pistons, and piston rings so it can operate on natural gas, propane autogas, or gasoline through separate fuel systems.

Alkane will use Foton cab-chassis from China with North American components, including a propane-fueled engine. Assembly in South Carolina is set for early 2016.
