The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree is 76 years old and weighed in at harvest at about 15,000 pounds, according to Sandi Mason, the U.S. Forest Service’s U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree project leader.

Kenworth Prepares to Launch Fuel-Economy Spec'ed Day Cab T680

Kenworth now offers the fuel-efficient Kenworth T680 Advantage Day Cab for pickup and delivery and regional haul operators.

Kenworth will extend its T680 fuel economy Advantage package into vocational applications soon with the launch of two new, T680 Advantage Day Cab models,, but will cut production of the T660 by the end of the year.

The Kenworth plant in Chillicothe, Ohio, is getting a $17 million automated storage facility to bring cab parts inside, out of the weather, and add efficiency to assembly operations, executives said on Wednesday. They also foresee another healthy sales year for Class 8 trucks.

Kenworth Introduces Advanced Charge Start System

Kenworth will offer an ultracapacitor-based engine start module from Maxwell for increased performance and better protection against battery drainage, the company announced at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

Kenworth Celebrates Millionth Truck Delivery

Kenworth celebrated the delivery of its one millionth truck to TransAm Trucking of Lathe, Kan. The 91 year-old company held a ceremony to celebrate the milestone at the Kenworth assembly plant in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Kenworth added the Driver Performance Assistant option for new T680 and T880 models with Paccar MX-13 engines and automated transmissions. The system is part of the Driver Performance Center which tracks vehicle efficiency statistics.
