DTNA Breaks Ground on New Headquarters

Oregon Governor Kitzhaber, Daimler Trucks North America President and CEO Martin Daum and City of Portland Mayor Charlie Hales celebrate ground breaking of Daimler Trucks North America's new headquarters campus.

The total headquarters project requires a $150 million investment by Daimler Trucks North America. Work began in April 2014 to clear the land for construction of the new building with project completion slated for early 2016.

Daimler Trucks Hits SuperTruck Goals Ahead of Schedule

Daimler Trucks North America said Thursday it has realized the objectives of its SuperTruck program one year ahead of schedule. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the SuperTruck program is an ambitious five-year research and development initiative focused on improving freight efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of Class 8 trucks.

MATS, LOUISVILLE, KY -- Truck orders at Daimler Trucks North America over the past four months are up 30% over the previous year, so the company has been gradually ramping up production and expects a strong 2014.
