C.R. England Names Two New Chief Operating Officers

The trucking company C.R. England announced the promotion of two members of its executive committee to the position of chief operating officers. Brandon Harrison and Zach England have been named to the positions with Harrison to oversee national, regional, and Mexico divisions and safety.

C.R. England CEO Cederholm Dies

C.R. England mourns the passing of CEO Wayne Cederholm on April 9, 2013.

C.R. England announced the death of CEO Wayne A. Cederholm II on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from complications of a bone marrow transplant. Cederholm joined C.R. England in 1980. Prior to his role as chief executive officer, Cederholm served the company as chief operating officer, senior vice president of North American operations, vice president of administration, vice president of safety and personnel, and was also the company's first credit manager.

TCA Fleet Panel Sees Drop in Driver Applications, But Positive Signs on Economy, Freight, Rates

The driver shortage is already intensifying, with the number of both new and experienced driver applicants down over the last couple of months, as economic signs lead to improved optimism about increases in freight and rates this year, according to a panel discussion of three major truckload executives Tuesday at the Truckload Carriers Conference annual convention in Las Vegas.
