Existing-home sales in the U.S. jumped in March to their highest annual rate in 18 months, according to the National Association of Realtors on Wednesday. Led by the Midwest, all major regions experienced strong sales gains in March and are above their year-over-year sales pace.

AB Volvo’s board of directors has named a Scania executive, Martin Lundstedt, as the president and chief executive officer of the Volvo Group, replacing Olof Persson, who has led the group for almost four years but is out immediately. Volvo Group is the corporate parent of Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks in North America.

ATA Urges Fast Action on Speed-Limiter Rule

ATA is urging completion of truck speed-limiting rule and calling for a national 65-mph speed limit for all vehicles.

The American Trucking Associations is again urging the Department of Transportation to “move forward” with a rulemaking requiring installation of electronic speed-limiting devices on Class 7 and 8 trucks.
