The third quarter is historically the weakest order period of the year and July is the weakest month. July Class 8 orders fell to just under 17,600 units, down 7% month-over-month, but up 36% compared to year-ago July.

Average Diesel Price Turns Higher Over Weekly Oil Gain

Just as soon at it looked like diesel was starting to trend lower it has done an about face. The average U.S. price has increased 0.4 cents per gallon over the past week, registering $3.90 per gallon.

Illinois Top Speed Limit to Increase to 70

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn on Monday signed legislation increasing the speed limit from 65 to 70 mph on rural four-lane highways and to lower the limit by five mph for excessive speeding, effective January 1, 2014.

The new building offers 30,000 square feet of production space, and Detroit Reman plans to double that with an addition slated to open in 2015.
