XPO Logistics Inc. has completed its previously announced acquisition of 3PD Holding Inc. in a transaction valued at approximately $365 million. Test results show that 6x2 tractors consume less fuel than similar 6x4 tractors. PIT traction performance evaluations show that 6x2 tractors’ traction was also reduced compared to 6x4 models.
Road Systems Inc., a trailer manufacturer and subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has changed its name to Con-way Manufacturing, effective immediately. Con-way Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Con-way Inc., a $5.6 billion freight transportation and logistics services company.
