FMCSA Declares South Carolina Trucking Companies to be Imminent Hazards

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has declared two Walterboro, S.C.-based trucking companies, CER Trucking Inc. and Edward Risher Trucking, as well as its owner-driver, Clarence Edward Risher, Jr., to be imminent hazards to public safety and has ordered all three entities to immediately cease interstate commercial operations.

Bakery Fleet Orders AMP Electric Vans

A national bakery company has placed the first orders for the AMP/Workhorse E-100.

AMP Holding Inc. has announced that its AMP Trucks subsidiary has received an initial purchase order for Workhorse E-100 Walk-In Vans from a national bakery company. The Workhorse Electric Vans have a range of up to 100 miles and will be built on the W62 chassis.

Cooper Will Pursue Damages Against Apollo

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. said it will pursue damages against Apollo Tyres Ltd. in a webcast following the announcement of its decision to terminate the merger agreement, according to Modern Tire Dealer, a sister publication of HDT.
