Webb Ductile Iron Hub Sheds 3.5 Pounds

Webb Wheel OEM has redesigned its ductile-iron TN-model trailer hub to make it lighter and to simplify brake drum installation. The hub now weighs 35 pounds, which Webb claims is the lightest ductile iron hub available for 25,000-pound-rated TN trailer axles.

Trailer Net Orders Up 45% for First Half of 2014

Net orders for trailers are up 45% for the first half of the year, despite June net orders dropping slightly from May, reports ACT Research. June orders of 22,000 were off 1% month over month, but up 42% year over year, led by a surge in liquid and bulk tank trailer orders.
