If you were in trucking about 30 years ago, you might remember the switch from incandescent sealed-beam headlamps to halogens, which were so much better that some truck operators stopped using auxiliary fog and driving lights. WORK TRUCK SHOW -- The International TerraStar 4x4 was named Work Truck magazine’s 2014 Work Truck of the Year at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.
Truck and engine maker Navistar International reported a wider first quarter loss than expected on Wednesday amid slower sales.
Navistar announced enhancements to its severe service and medium-duty product lines, including adding selective catalytic reduction emissions technology to its higher-horsepower midrange engines.

Navistar International won both categories in the American Truck Dealers’ 2014 Commercial Truck of the Year competition with its ProStar heavy duty and TerraStar medium-duty models. ATD announced the winners at a lunch on Sunday, during its joint annual convention with the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans. The trucks were among three heavy and four medium-duty models submitted by manufacturers for judging last fall.
