Seattle Mayor Challenges City Fleets to Cut Use of Petroleum-Based Fuels

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn has directed city departments to build on earlier "green fleet" efforts to cut the city's annual use of petroleum-based fuels by 1 million gallons by 2020, using electric and alternative fueled vehicles, biodiesel and more efficient use of vehicles.

Florida Legislature Approves Natural Gas Vehicle Incentives

Today, the Florida House passed HB 579 to promote the use of natural gas fuels in Florida. On Tuesday, HB 579 passed the Florida Senate 39-0 and was immediately sent to the Florida House. That chamber took up the bill on Thursday, passing it 116-2.

Shell, TA Finalize LNG Network Agreement

Shell and TravelCenters of America announced Monday they finalized an agreement to develop a U.S. nationwide network of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling centers for heavy-duty fleet customers and plan to have the first station operational in about a year.
