XRS Corp. is announcing a new addition to its mobile fleet optimization solution aimed at bringing insight into customer’s routes, called TRP, allowing for better on-time delivery metrics, enhanced driver productivity and real-time information into daily operations.
Rand McNally announced the release of a navigation and software update for its line of mobile fleet management devices, including the HD 100, TND 760 and TPC 7600. With the release, the devices will have access to a full map update and new navigation features, as well as supplementary hours-of-service rules to help track hours in various locations and industries.
Omnitracs announced the upcoming availability of mpg performance information on the its Mobile Computing Platform 110 (MCP110) and 200 (MCP200) user interface.

Ryder System announced that it has formed a partnership with Decisiv, a provider of Service Relationship Management solutions, to create an enhanced maintenance offering for large and for-hire truck fleets that own their vehicles and manage multiple maintenance providers.
A number of trucking companies – and thousands of other types of businesses for that matter – run their businesses on what would be considered a “legacy” IT system. Those old workhorse servers might still be getting the job done, but they could be holding your business back.
