Primarily refrigerated freight hauler Marten Transport on Tuesday reported an increase in net income to $7.9 million, or 24 cents per diluted share, in the second quarter of the year.
J.B. Hunt Transport Services announced Tuesday second quarter 2014 net earnings of $93.4 million, or diluted earnings per share of 79 cents, compared to second quarter 2013 net earnings of $87.7 million, or 73 cents per diluted share, a 6.5% increase.

The trucking and logistics provider, Celadon Group, reports revenue for the quarter ending March 31 increased 29.1% to $193.2 million from $149.6 million in the March 2013 quarter.
Arkansas-based truckload carrier and logistics provider, USA Truck, cut its net loss from $2.5 million in the first quarter of last year to $1.6 million in the first quarter of this year. This resulted in a diluted loss per share of 15 cents compared to 24 cents during the same time frame.
