Freight tonnage will grow 23.5% from 2013 to 2025 and freight revenues will jump 72%, according to the American Trucking Associations' U.S. Freight Transportation Forecast to 2025, a look at the future of freight. It predicts continued growth for both the trucking industry and freight economy overall.

First Quarter Driver Turnover Largely Unchanged

April Truck Tonnage Up from March, Remains Near All-Time High

The American Trucking Associations’ For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index increased 1.5% in April, after rising 0.6% the previous month, according to newly released figures. In April, the index equaled 129.1 versus 127.2 in March. The all-time high was in November 2013 at 131.
