FCA US is recalling 199 2015 model-year Ram 4500 and 5500 trucks so dealers can address a problem that might reduce front suspension stability.

The recalled trucks may have inadequate penetration of the front upper control arm loop-to-spacer weld, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. This might compromise vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

The trucks were manufactured from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6 of this year. The recall is set to get under way Sept. 19. Dealers will inspect and replace any faulty upper control arms, free of charge.

Truck owners can reach Chrysler customer service at (800) 853-1403. The automaker’s number for this recall is R34.
