The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will hold a meeting of its Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee's subcommittee on the Compliance Safety and Accountability program on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 5 and 6.

The gathering is a follow up to earlier meetings. During the MCSAC's August 27-29, 2012, meeting, FMCSA requested that a subcommittee be established to provide an ongoing series of reports to the agency presenting prioritized recommendations FMCSA should pursue, with supporting data, to improve the CSA program, with the subcommittee later presenting its recommendations to the full MCSAC for review and discussion, with the final reports submitted to the agency.

The subcommittee held its first meeting October 16-17 of last year with a second meeting held on December 5, 2012. The upcoming meeting is the third of these meetings.

It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Eastern time, at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town hotel, located at 1767 King Street in Alexandria, Va., in the Washington and Jefferson Rooms on the 2nd floor.

Copies of all MCSAC Task Statements and an agenda for the entire meeting will be made available in advance of the meeting at http://mcsac.fmcsa.dot.gov.

Oral comments from the public will be heard during the last half-hour of the meetings each day. The public may submit written comments on the topics to be considered during the meeting by Tuesday, January 29, 2013, to Federal Docket Management System, Docket Number FMCSA-2006-26367, using the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov.
