The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has scheduled its fourth annual National Safety Conference for Sept. 14-15, at the Hyatt Hotel at Dulles International Airport just outside of Washington, D.C.

"Private fleets have a well-earned reputation for unsurpassed safety excellence," said Gary Petty, president and CEO of NPTC. "Programs such as the National Safety Conference, in which leaders from throughout the industry share their insights and perspectives, are one of the reasons why."
The conference features presentations, discussions with key government representatives, expert panels and problem solving workshops – all of which will provide attendees with insights into implementing strategic safety programs and lowering their cost of risk. This year's program with the theme, “Solving the Safety Puzzle,” will help attendees put all of the pieces together to reinforce or create an effective safety program and strategy.
The program, which also features a tabletop exhibit and numerous networking opportunities, will focus on the following topics:

• Behavioral Safety – The results of one fleet's implementation and success
• Health and Wellness – The Early Results of an FMCSA Synthesis Study
• Safety Technology – Commitment is Worth the Effort. Learning to Make the Case
• Regulatory Updates – From Impact to Implementation
• Driver Selection and Retention – The Life Cycle of the Professional Driver
• Incentive Programs that Work – And How You Can Make Them Work
• Security and Highway Watch
