Energy & Engine Technology Corp. (EENT) has announced it is supporting the Idling Tax Credit Act of 2004, introduced last April by Congresswoman Kay Granger, R-Texas.

Members of EENT’s senior management recently met with Granger and vowed continued support in lobbying for the bill’s passage.
Granger's bill provides for a tax credit of up to $3,500 for trucks outfitted with idle reduction equipment. In her April 22 press release, Granger commented: "'A federal tax credit that allows truck owners up to 50% of the cost of the alternative idling power source will have an immediate impact on our clear air goal.'"
EENT's AXP 1000 product falls within the scope of devices covered by the bill, and if the bill is passed, the incentives for a trucker to purchase an AXP 1000 would be even more greatly increased.
EENT, headquartered in Plano, Texas, develops and markets auxiliary power generators for the long haul trucking industry.
