Carriers operating in states and provinces that are members of the International Fuel Tax Association have until Feb. 28 to display 2002 IFTA licenses and decals.
Member jurisdictions include all states but Alaska and Hawaii and 10 Canadian provinces.
However, IFTA cautions that all trucks must have the proper credentials. When traveling through an IFTA member jurisdiction during the first two months of the year, carriers must show a valid 2002 IFTA license and two 2002 IFTA decals, a valid 2001 IFTA license and two 2001 IFTA decals, or a valid trip permit issued by an IFTA jurisdiction.
More information about IFTA, including state contacts, can be found at www.iftach.org.
