Clapp Confirmation Expected Tomorrow

The Senate Commerce Committee will vote tomorrow on the nomination of Joseph M. Clapp as chief of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Clapp is expected to be confirmed on a voice vote, according to a committee spokesperson.
Also on the confirmation agenda are Marion Blakey as a member of the National Transportation Board, and Read Van der Water, as assistant secretary of transportation.
