The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will hold a public meeting on June 6 to discuss the Illinois CDL program.
The agency says it hopes to solicit comments regarding the state's CDL issuance practices, driver testing (including third party testing), literacy and translation requirements.
The meeting will be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel (O'Hare) in Rosemont, IL, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone who would like to present comments must preregister by submitting name, address, phone number, home or business address by e-mail (CDLMTG@fhwa.dot.gov), facsimile (708-283-3579) or telephone (708) 283-3518.
The meeting will be recorded and a summary of the proceedings will be placed in the docket number FMCSA 2000-7365 which can be accessed online at http://dms.dot.gov.
