Another Call to Hide CSA Data from Public

A group of brokers and other trucking interests have added to the call for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to remove CSA safety scores from public view. In a September 17 letter, the Alliance for Safe, Efficient and Competitive Truck Transportation and nine other groups asked Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx to draw a curtain over the scores.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is moving to fix a longtime problem in its CSA safety enforcement system. The agency is asking for comments on a plan to start including in its CSA database the results of court rulings on carrier challenges of roadside inspection citations.
