FMCSA Ends Cross-Border Pilot, Grants Authority to Mexican Carriers

A three-year pilot program testing the safety of cross-border trucking between the U.S. and Mexico is ending, and the Mexican truck lines that have been providing long-distance, cross-border service under that pilot program will move to normal operating status. Cargo Thefts Decrease In U.S., Mexico Announces Plan To Combat Highway Crime

Logistics security services provider FreightWatch International issued two new reports, one showing cargo theft fell in the United State from December 2012 through last February and another about a plan in Mexico to combat crime along its highways, including cargo thefts.
