Eberspaecher’s Hydronic S3 Economy (5kW) engine pre-heater is a compact system designed for flexible installation in sleeper, work truck, day-cab, off-highway, construction and municipal vehicle applications.

The Hydronic S3 Economy is CARB-approved and designed for simple operation with step-less heating power control. The coolant heater works with all common types of fuel, according to Eberspaecher. The pre-heater features an encapsulated fan motor with separated cold and hot components to improve longevity.

A high IP protection class also secures the unit from the ingress of water during high-pressure or steam jet cleaning. Water spigots are fully rotatable and are replaceable, ensuring a simpler and quicker fitting in a range of installation positions. Optimized brackets allow the pre-heater to be mounted anywhere in the smallest possible space.

The water heater features a CAN bus interface and with an EasyScan diagnostic and service tool, workshop staff can analyze the operating condition of the pre-heater in a simple way.
