Yokohama’s TY527 drive tire is designed for regional, high-scrub and long-haul applications with 2- and 3- axle configurations.

The TY527 is now available in three 16-ply size offerings: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, and 11R24.5. It is also available in its original 14-ply, 285/75R24.5 size. The TY527’s deep 32/32nd tread depth and 16-ply construction are designed for longer life.

With a directional tread pattern that reduces block movement and resists heel and toe wear under high torque conditions, the TY527 has improved durability. The tire also features wear control grooves that alleviate contact pressure on the edge of the outside tread blocks. This allows the shoulder edge to flex easier to prevent irregular wear.

The tire features a temperature controlling cap compound that produces stronger and more pliable rubber and minimizes heat generation. This allows deep tread depths to provide greater stability, reduced tread squirm, and high abrasion resistance.

Yokohama’s STEM-2 technology extends the life of the casing by directing stress forces away from critical bead and shoulder areas, minimizing flex in the casing. The tire also has stone damage prevention grooves that keep rocks and debris from reaching the bottom of the groove where they can cause casing damage.
