Wabash National Corporation’s Brenner brand fiberglass reinforced plastic tank trailer resists sulfuring acid in concentrations of up to 98%.

The Brenner FRP increases the ability of a traditional fiberglass reinforced plastic tank trailers that were capable of handling dilute sulfuric acid at concentrations below 93%. With the higher concentration limit, the Brenner FRP can be used as an alternative to stainless steel tank trailers.

The FRP offers increased payload and an extended asset lifecycle over stainless steel tank trailers, according to Wabash. It was developed with Poly-Coat Systems, which is a provider of non-metallic vessels for corrosive products.

Wabash National’s Brenner Tanka and Poly-Coat Systems have worked together for more than 12 years to deliver FRP tank trailers to North American customers transporting bleach, hydrochloric acid, ferric chloride, oilfield chemicals, corrosive wastes and other hazardous cargoes.
