The Bendix ADB22X Air Disc Brake is available as an option on the Neway LSZ Steerable Lift Axle Suspension System, announced SAF-Holland.

The Bendix brake was selected as an option for the Neway LSZ for its two-pin floating caliper design which features fewer components. Coupling the design with an optimized friction and rotor pairing allows for longer service life for both components. Because of this design, the ADB22X reduces the amount of required maintenance inspections. The ADB22X air disc brake pads are also more quickly changed than comparable drum linings which can reduce downtime.

The LSZ Steerable Lift Axle uses just 17.39 inches of frame rail space ahead of the center tire which allows more room for larger fuel tanks, mounting batteries or other components required to comply with regulations, bridge laws and a short wheelbase.

The LSZ can lift the axle in less than four seconds and holds it up with over 12,000 pounds of force to prevent axle bounce.
