Chicago Pneumatic's BlueTork CP7600 nutrunner is a tool designed to tighten wheel nuts to a precise specification without using impact force. The tool is designed for vehicles with frequent start-stop journeys such as buses and refuse trucks.

The tool uses a continues driving force instead of impact force which allows it to run at a quieter 79 decibels with a vibration of less than 2.5 meters per second squared (m/s²). The BlueTork allows operators to easily reset torque for each use for accurate and precise tightening to a manufacturer’s guidelines.

A shut off valve controls the tightening process while the torque reaction is taken by a reaction bar. The nutrunner uses a dual-motor setup to provide an initial run-down to 50 ft.-lb. of torque at 100 rpm to quickly snug the nut while the second motor rotates at 8 rpm to deliver the final specified torque.

The BlueTork nutrunner is available in four versions each with seven models. These models include the CP7600 with one torque setting in forward only, the CP7600R with one torque setting with forward and reverse, the CP7600-4P with four torque settings in forward only and the CP7600R-4P with four torque settings with forward and reverse.

The CP7600 series also features a simple swing bar reaction mechanism for simpler alignment and faster operation. Some versions can also be specified with an extended gearbox to reach deeper bolts.

"The BlueTork nutrunner is a unique piece of equipment for organizations who are looking to improve their fleet maintenance in terms of quality, ergonomics and reliability," said Christophe Roland, product marketing manager at Chicago."In addition to providing operator comfort, the BlueTork nutrunner performs an important function in the wheel tightening process."
