Volvo Trucks introduced the Volvo VAH 630, a new sleeper model designed for the long-haul segment of the trucking market. The VAH 630 is currently available for order.

The VAH 630 features a 61 inch sleeper with a full-sized bunk, storage cabinet and space for entertainment and comfort accessories. It is offered with Volvo’s D11 and D13 engine options. The D11 features 355 -405 horsepower and 1,250 - 1,420 lb.-ft. of torque while the D13 engine features 375 – 500 horsepower  and 1,450 – 1,750 lb.-ft. of torque.

The truck is also available with the Volvo I-Shift automated manual transmission.

Like all VAH models, the 630 has deep-drop front axles, low-height Volvo Air Ride rear suspensions and reduced height cab options from Fontaine Modification Company. A lower overall height offers the flexibility to position a vehicle as large as a minivan over the truck’s cab to maximize payload. Additionally, a clean top-of-frame behind the cab allows for easier body mounting and trailer hookup.

The VAH 630 also comes with Remote Diagnostics, Volvo’s telematics-based diagnostic and repair planning system.

“We are pleased that we now have a solution specifically tailored to the long-haul segment of this highly specialized market,” said Goran Nyberg, president of Volvo Trucks North America. “ The Volvo VAH 630 is designed to maximize payload capacity while still delivering the efficiency, driver productivity and Uptime benefits that all customers expect from Volvo Trucks.”
