Andersen Flaps is expanding its Eco-flaps splash guard line with the addition of 27- and 36-inch long sized splash guards designed for minimal drag.

The wide horizontal ribs have been removed to reduce wind resistance and improve fuel efficiency. The Eco-flaps feature molded, aerodynamic channels to allow air and water to move through the flap surface which reduces drag and improves fuel economy by up to 3.5%, says Andersen.

Using the molded channels, air and water eventually flow to a dead-air zone on the back of the guard where they fall to the road surface. This action reduces excessive road spray compared with a more conventional mud flap design, says Andersen. The design also directs water spray to the pavement rather than into passing or trailing vehicles.

Eco-flaps are made of a durable, high-impact nylon to withstand tough conditions and extend the life of the flap. These improved Eco-flaps are available in 24 x 24, 24 x 27, 24 x 30 and 24 x 36 inch sizes.
