Peterson Manufacturing extended its LumenX LED line with a 4 inch Round Strobe light and a 6 inch Oval Strobe. Both lights are rated for use as directional flashing warning devices on Class 1 and 2 emergency, maintenance and service vehicles.

The strobes feature Peterson’s LumenX architecture using the latest white-diode LED’s and optics. They use a Peterson exclusive lens design that illuminates the entire lens fully, without hotspots or dead zones, regardless of viewing angle.

The lights are capable of 73 quad flashes per minute and come with 12 and 24 volt compatibility. They have AMP-compatible weatherproof receptacles to protect against corrosion and all models are available with grommet and flange mounts.

Peterson says its lights, which come in amber, white or red, have an intensity that exceeds the SAE J595 Class 1 requirements.

“We believe a brighter light is a safer light,” said Kristen Goodson, vice president of product management at Peterson. “We’ve gone one step further for this market by designing our amber and white warning lights to be almost 75% brighter than the higher Class 1 requirement.”
