Dana Holding Corporation announced that it has broadened the Extended Protection Plan for drive axles in on-highway linehaul applications. The changes to the warranty are available to customers in both the U.S. and Canada.

Dana now offers warranty coverage beyond the previous max of five years/ 750,000 miles on certain single drive and tandem drive axles. Customers can extend warranties to six years/ 850,000 miles or seven years/ 1 million miles for axles like the Spicer AdvanTEK 40, Spicer EconoTrek and Spicer Pro-40 tandem axles.

“These improvements to our extended warranties result from our continued investment in manufacturing and commitment to best in class quality, which allows us to support our customers with industry-leading protection programs long after the sale,” said Mark Wallace, executive vice president of Dana.

The company is also waiving the late registration fee through Dec. 31, 2014 for customers purchasing any extended warranty plan after the first year of service on linehaul, standard duty and severe duty applications.
