Omnitracs Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated and a provider of integrated wireless systems, applications and services to transportation and logistics companies, announced new features for its Trailer Tracks 210 (TT210) platform.

By utilizing new Trailer Specifications and Fleet Mapping capabilities, fleets equipped with both TT210 and the Mobile Computing Platform 110 or 200 (MCP110 or MCP200) can further streamline operations and more effectively manage their assets for improved productivity.

When integrated with Omnitracs’ MCP110 or MCP200, the TT210 will automatically transmit trailer connect/disconnect time, date, location and trailer ID directly to the in-cab display. This will enable drivers to quickly identify incorrect trailer pick ups, saving fleets time and money, as well as helping enhance customer service with near-real-time insight into delivery status.

The Trailer Specifications feature offers a number of default specifications, such as trailer type, length and VIN, to facilitate quick and easy implementation. It also enables customers to add three custom specifications with distinct labels and values to each trailer to fit their unique operational needs. Additionally, with the new Fleet Mapping feature, organizations can view the location of trailers and tractors on a single map for more seamless asset management.

The new features are now available for TT210 and MCP customers at no additional cost.
