Chevrolet's Silverado pickup will arrive for 2016 with a bolder look, including a reworked front end, General Motors has announced.

The Silverado's front end has been significantly updated with a more sculpted hood, less chrome grille elements, and a single headlight to replace the stacked dual headlights on the 2015 model.

The 2016 Silverado will "feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies," said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevy Trucks.

Other updates include a refreshed MyLink infotainment system to support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and additional safety technologies that will announced in the fall.

Silverado sales have increased by 14.6 percent so far in 2015, according to GM.
