Impco Technologies Inc., launched its ComfortPro "Stand Alone" diesel auxiliary power unit for Class 8 trucks in North America. The new APU is available exclusively through the Carrier Transicold dealer network in the U.S. and Canada.
The APU does not require the modification of connecting into the truck diesel engine coolant system and is fitted with a rigorous duty generator and industrial grade belt systems. With the availability of the next generation of high-pressured diesel engines, ComfortPro "Stand Alone" APU avoids "tapping" into the truck's diesel engine coolant lines.
"As diesel prices continue to climb, idle reduction solutions truly enhance the bottom line for fleets and independent operators," says Jaime Portaluppi, director of sales for the Industrial Division.
