Designed for fleet management and mobile resource management providers, the TREQ-VM is available in a new design, allowing for deployment in either fixed-mount or removable versions. The removable version allows the terminal to detach from its base for occasional short excursions from the cab of the vehicle for activities such as vehicle inspection and viewing of driver logs by authorities.

The TREQ-VM features an LED lighted, 800 x 480 WVGA, 7-inch LCD display with touch screen, Marvell XScale PXA166 (800 MHz ARM), 10/100Base-T wired Ethernet, optional 802.11b/g with internal antenna, one EIA-232/422/485 configurable; one EIA-232, five USB 2.0 high-speed host ports, one hour active life lithium-polymer battery, extended operating temperature ranges of minus 68 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 operating system.

Also available in June 2012, the TREQ-VMx will include the same features as the TREQ-VM as well as a quad-band GSM/GPRS modem, integrated GPS receiver and J1708/J1939 (CANbus) interface.
