Travis Body & Trailer has begun production on its newest model, the Alumatech.
Travis acquired the assets of Everlite Inc. in February. The equipment and machinery has been relocated to Travis' 17-acre, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facilities in Houston, Texas, where trailer and body production is taking place.

The weight of the base 39-foot Alumatech trailer with 22.5 tires is under 9,000 pounds. The Travis Alumatech is the only aluminum half-round dump made in the U.S. with seamless floor and side sheets, according to the company.

The Travis Alumatech is very similar to the trailer produced by Everlite. However, Travis has made several upgrades and redesigned several critical areas in the nose, sub-frame, tailgate and draft arm connections. In many cases these areas are stronger and lighter.

The Alumatech will be offered in frameless, quarter-frame, frame-type configurations, and straight truck dump bodies.

Distribution of the Travis Alumatech model will be achieved through a combination of the existing Travis Independent Dealer network, and by new dealer relationships with several of the former Everlite dealers.

Replacement parts and service for all Alumatech trailers are available now from Travis' parts department in Houston.
