The Timken Company has gone mobile with its online auto-aftermarket catalog site, with new applications designed for iPhone, Android and Blackberry smartphones.

The development of these mobile applications enhances the ability of professional technicians and 'do-it-yourselfers' to do the job right the first time. Through these applications, users can search for Timken products by year/make/model, part number, or even an industry part number. In addition, the app offers convenient access to torque specifications for Timken products, as added earlier this year to the Timken website. Available torque specs cover axle nuts, flange bolts and wheel studs.

"Our customers tell us training and easy access to information are two of the most important things we can provide beyond quality products themselves," said Barry Harris, Timken's manager of global strategy, marketing and cataloging. "We want Timken to be the trusted source for professional technicians to find technical information about today's toughest bearing and seal questions."
