Betts Spring introduced the Smart A17 spring-loaded mud flap hangers to replace older product lines.
Smart A17 Technology offers lightweight, corrosion-resistant mud flap hangers with extended lifecycles. The design uses an open-wound coil springs with a high recovery rate. Improved performance is complemented by a 5% weight reduction over current spring-loaded mud flap designs.
Smart A17 Technology replaces Betts' full line of straight-arm, tapered-arm and angle-down spring-loaded mud flap hangers, and is currently being rolled out to Betts distributors. All major Class 8 manufacturers will complete release of the Smart hangers for production by October 1.
Betts Spring has earned "first hang" position with many major OE manufacturers of Class 8 vehicles, according to the company.
