TransCore, Harrisburg, Pa., has launched a new credit monitoring service designed for freight brokers and carriers
. Credit Patrol alerts subscribers to changes in their own credit record or that of their transportation partners.

The new service allows companies to monitor changes in their own credit score and days-to-pay record. In addition, users can monitor any broker or carrier on TransCore's DAT Network.

"Many of our customers tell us that this year's volatile economy has led to an increase in bad debt," said David Schrader, TransCore's senior vice president of freight services. "Our new Credit Patrol service is one tool that helps them to be more vigilant about monitoring the credit records of their own customers and vendors."

The new service is provided by TransCore with support from TransCredit, a provider of credit information and scoring for the transportation industry.
